Karen Gillan actually has quite a nice singing voice, and who knew Arthur Darvill’s more than competent on the piano. Matt Smith is…enthusiastic at least.
I’m hitting up The Muppets tomorrow, just getting in the mood.
The snippet I published here back in August? I went and finished it. Sadly I now have an even more terrible idea worming around in my head begging to be written. In all seriousness I really like how this one turned out, even if it does mark me as an extreme nerd.
The past two episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Bad News and Last Word, were such a change of pace for the show they deserve comment. Of course there are spoilers ahead.

Huh, now that was pretty random.
Google’s main page informs me that today is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. In honor of that momentous occasion, I present this retrospective from their 35th anniversary. Sadly I couldn’t find a good clip of just the opening.
And one more for good measure:
Season finale of How I Met Your Mother just wrapped up. Did not disappoint, would do business again. Spoilers after the jump.

I’m watching the last episode of er right now, and it’s a strange thing. It’s been literally years since I’ve watched the show — I stopped watching not long after they dropped the helicopter on Romano. At the same time, despite the fact that the cast is almost entirely different, it still feels like er. Though I am baffled by Abraham Benrubi’s beard. The rhythms are still the same, the musical notes are the same. Really though, watching this takes me back to when I did watch the show back in college, in my little dorm room. Also, holy crap, bringing back the actress who played Rachel Greene was a beyond awesome decision. It absolutely brings the show full circle. This is a very well done episode, full of all these delicate grace notes, and mixed in with the standard er character fare. We’ll miss you er. In your heyday, when you were on there wasn’t a better show on television.
Seriously, is there anyone else who does a more incisive interview when he wants to than Jon Stewart?
